Turmeric Rose

Turmeric is a rhizomatous herbaceous perennial plant of the ginger family, Zingiberaceae.
According to Dr. Axe “It has so many healing properties that currently there are over 10,000 peer-reviewed articles published proving turmeric benefits, especially one of its renowned healing compounds, curcurmin.”
In her blog post Sarah Wilson reported that a study in the International Journal of Food Science and Technology found the bioavailability of curcumin increased when it was fermented. During digestion, curcumin transforms into different metabolites. It is these metabolites that can be easily absorbed by the body, rather than the whole curcumin molecule.
